yep — it’s hard - a mindful morsel

estimated reading time: 2 minutes

Happy Wednesday to your kind spirit 💚

It’s a good day for a reminder — mindfulness isn’t easy.

It has to compete for attention in a world focused on dollar signs, narrow definitions of achievement, and devolving treatment of human beings.

The act of practicing mindfulness is rebellious.

It’s beautiful and brave.

And it’s fucking hard.

It requires that we repeatedly fall down and scrape our tender hearts and spirits, pick ourselves back up and keep practicing. It requires that we reject the idea of perfection that we’re force-fed and accept that it’s a ‘fail forward’ type of thing, a ‘just show up’ kind of thing, a ‘wildly different experience for everyone’ type of thing.

It’s also a thing that many people don’t buy into or practice or dig, so sometimes it can feel like an ‘only me’ type of thing.’

But I assure you that it’s not.

And it’s so worth it.

Keep practicing. Keep failing. Keep getting up. Keep breathing.

With good energy,
