  • PODCAST: We Can Do Hard Things

Starring Abby, Glennon, and Amanda — this podcast is like a good coffee convo with your besties and makes inner reflection and self-development seem much less lonely and intimidating.

  • BOOK: Yoga of the Subtle Body, by Tias Little

This is a fantastic guide to gain a better understanding how different systems and areas of the body are in relationship, and it provides a great foundation for integrating energy and physical bodies.

  • BOOK: Woman Code, by Alisa Vitti

This book is a gamechanger for menstruating bodies! If you’ve ever had questions about your cycle and what’s affecting it, this book is a must read. The info about nutrition, diet, hormones, and environmental influences is easy to understand, which makes choosing things to implement that much easier. That takes the pressure off trying to do a huge immediate overhaul, and helps make implementing your new knowledge more personalized and effective. If you don’t find what you need in this book, it’s still a great place to gain foundational knowledge you’ll wish you were taught from a young age as basic education.

  • ARTICLE: Immediate Symptom Relief After a First Session of Massage Therapy or Reiki in Hospitalized Patients: A 5-year Clinical Experience from a Rural Academic Medical Center

The title pretty much says it all here. If you’re curious about how effective Reiki can be and want some empirical evidence, check this out.

  • BOOK - Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle, by Emily Nagoski, PhD & Amelia Nagoski, DMA

Learn more about how stress is deeply affecting your body (and get angry that you’ve been taught to not listen to it). The Nagoski sisters break down some great things to complete the stress cycle your physical body experiences, things we can work to remove from our lives, and nourishing practices we can replace those with. If you’re into gaining knowledge and a larger sense of agency over your body and mental health, read this soon.

  • BOOK - The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing, by Marie Kondo

    So. Much. Magic.

This is a quick read that I listened to on audio, and it’s nothing short of a gamechanger. This book gets you thinking about why you’ve chosen to bring things into your home, helps you give yourself some tough love and grace, and shows you what magic lies in making more conscious, joyful choices about what to keep and what to acquire in the future.

If you’re feeling lots of heavy, dormant energy in your home or any personal space, give this some of your attention.

  • WEBSITE - Everywhere is Queer

A stupendous directory if you’re looking to support LGBT+ businesses. If you own a business, add yours! You can also download the app on your phone and search the in-app job board.

  • WEBSITE - Queer Connect

Another growing LGBT+ directory. Find businesses you can support, register your own business, get notified about events, make connections, and stay up to date with a social media-like feel.

  • BOOK - Yoga for Witches, by Sarah Robinson

A great read if you’re into magic, exploring magic, or just plain curious. This book really inspires open perspective shifting so you can see the magic already embedded into a yoga practice, and provides great inspo to strengthen and grow your existing practices with more purpose, intention, and ritual.
